Newport Results

We all made it. That's saying something on an unusually warm day for the Oregon Coast (but not nearly as hot as the valley). Temperatures reached into the sunny mid-70s at the Newport Marathon and Half. 

Sara won our highest honors by PRing at the longer distance, and missing her Boston qualifying standard by less than a minute.

Team alum Kathie Hledik won her age-group with a 2:14:31 half. Cindy Smith finished the marathon.

Sara -- marathon in 3:35:38 (8:14s) PR by 2 minutes; 5th in age group

Joe -- walked (mostly) half in 3:06:05 (14:13s) 2nd in age group

The extra person in the photo is Michelle's friend Kati Ruiz, who finished her first half-marathon.
